DIVISION FAQ'S

 

Championship Division

Only the low 132 and ties will qualify for 18 holes on Wednesday. After qualifying and a playoff,
if necessary, the low 64 will be paired in the Championship Flight. The next 48 will be paired in
Pine, Palm and Melissa flights (16 in each). Named Flights will have no consolation play.

Q. What do I need to shoot to qualify for the Championship flight.
 

A. The playoff or last qualifying spot (if a playoff isn’t needed) is typically around 147 to 150 for two days of qualifying. Par is 71, so you should be able to consistently shoot in the low 70’s to have a realistic shot to qualify for the Championship Flight. To make the Melissa Flight, the last name flight, you would typically need to shoot between 154 to 156.

 

Mid-Am Division

Up to 40 players will play 18 qualifying holes on Monday. Only the low 32 and ties will qualify
for 18 holes on Tuesday. After qualifying and a playoff, if necessary, the low 16 will be paired in
the Championship Flight. The next 8 will be paired in the Floyd Flight.

A. The playoff or last qualifying spot (if a playoff isn’t needed) is typically around 154 to 156 for two days of qualifying. Par is 71, so you should be able to consistently shoot in the mid 70’s to have a realistic shot to qualify for the Mid-Am Championship Flight. To make the Floyd Flight, the next 8 golfers, you would typically need to shoot between 157 to 160.
 
 

Senior Division

Up to 64 players will play 18 qualifying holes on Monday. After qualifying and a playoff, if
necessary, the low 32 will be paired in the Championship Flight. The next 16 will be paired in
the Lida and Maud Flights.

A. The playoff or last qualifying spot (if a playoff isn’t needed) is typically around 78 to 80. Par is 71, you should be able to consistently shoot in the upper 70’s to have a realistic shot to qualify for the Senior Championship Flight. To make the Maud Flight, you would typically need to shoot between 82 to 84.
